The Morganville Vampires Vol.1 by Rachel Caine

This is a 2 in 1 book. Glass houses and The dead girls dance. This the start of a new series for me and so far its pretty good.
Claire Danvers is a 16 year old girl that has moved to Morganville to go to college. She's smart and her parents brought her there. What she didn't realize was that she was going to have problems with some of the girls at the school. They were going to kill her and she knew she couldn't stay in the dorm any more. What she did find was a house off campus.
First she met Eve, then Shane and lastly Micheal. They were all 18 years old and wasn't sure that her staying there would be a good idea. To Claire both of the guys were very cute. Her problems were only just starting. She found out that there was this book that the vampires in town were looking for. She knew that it was important to them but didn't know why.
By the end of the glass house you find out what happens to them. What happens to the book. One ghost a whole bunch of a lot of vampires and bad people, with some good, do end up with one heck of a good story. And this is only the first book in this series and the first book in this two in one book.
The dead girls dance starts right where the glass house ended and things end up getting worse not better. Shane ends up gettting taken by the town because of what his father does. His father kills a vampire even though the vampire isn't a good one. Claire needs to find some way to save him. She also realizes that she's in love with him.
Micheal makes a decision that will take him as he was to a full fledge vampire.
So much going on in the books you'll have to read them to find out what happens. I'm not going to spoil the ending. The story is will written and I like how the story goes, very fast paced.
Well, I'm off to start another book. Remember if you want to know what happens to Claire and her friends then you'll have to pick up this 2 in 1 book and read it.

Undone by Karin Slaughter

With all the twists and turns this book has in it. I was surprised that it was quite good of a read. This is the first time I've read any of this authors books and I guess there's a good chance that I'll probably pick up another.
Faith Mitchell and Will Trent are special agents. Will ended up falling into the case their on when a woman so badly hurt showed up in the ER where he had brought Faith into. He was watching the doctor work on her and paying attention to everything that was going on. His next move was to head out to the scene where it happened to find out as much information he could. But he had a secret that he didn't want anyone to know, he couldn't read. It was something he had a hard time with and Faith would help him as much as she could.
Faith had fainted and Will brought her to the hospital. What she found out was that she had diabetes and was also pregnant. She wasn't willing to tell her secret yet to anyone. She told the doctor, Sara Linton that she wanted to talk to her by herslef and had the doctor tell Will that she needed to do some more tests that he could be in the room for.
Sara had her own problems. She couldn't give over what happened to her husband. Dealing with life for her was a one day at a time, sometimes a one minute at a time thing.
Will and Faith worked the case and they had a few leads but, things weren't exactly going to will for them. Two more women had been taken and it was up to them to find them before they ended up like the other ones did.
When Will ends up going off after finding a baby almost dead. He's not sure what his job was going to be like when his boss finds out.
By the end of the book though you will find it all gets solved. To me I enjoyed the book very much. If you haven't read the book, do so.
Well, I'm off to start my next book now. Enjoy you reading I know I will.
