Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

This is the first book in the wicked lovely series. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Aislinn is a young teenage girl that can see faeries. Like her Gran and mother before her. She is also scared of them. She also knows that if they were to know that she could see them it would be dangerous to her. She didn't seem to feel confertable with them around but the one thing that made it better for her was when she was with Seth. What she also knew was that she was in love with Seth. But how to tell him that she wanted more then just being friends with him. She knew he liked to flirt with her but she never thought it was more.
Keenan was the summer king and had been looking for his queen for a very long time. He see's Aislinn in a store and picks her. Aislinn doesn't want nothing to do with him but she decides to spend one evening with him at a fair only not realizing that, that night was going to change her and everything she knew for the rest of her life.
Donia has been in love with Keenan since the first time they met. But, because she's not his queen she's trapped like she is tell the real queen releases her.
Beira is the winter queen and very evil. She doesn't want her son Keenan to find his queen because she knows that things will change. She tries to get Donia to help her and keep it from happening.
Well, the book is good. A little surprising to me as how good it was. I'll be interested in how the next book is when I get to it. Being that this is the first book by this author that I've read. It makes me think of wanting to know how the second one goes. But, I'll wait and so shall you.
I'm off to start my next book. Hope to see you come back and see what's added next. Remember a good book isn't far from your reach. Pick this one up if you haven't already yet. Its worth your while.

  1. I haven't read this book- but from your review it sounds good. I hope the rest of the series is just as great!

  2. This is a book a number of girls at the school where I work have loved. They have been telling me I should read this series and have also asked that it be purchased for the school library, so I really enjoyed reading your review, it reinforced what kids have been telling me.
