Deadline by Sandra Brown

This book was very good. It was about lies that you tell yourself and sometimes even get away with. Its about murder and getting revenge. This author is one of my favorites to read.

Dawson Scott is a reporter for a magazine. He spent time over seas in the war zone. He came back home with some scares of his own. Gary Headly is an FBI agent and had been after Carl Wingert for the last 40 years. He told Dawson about all that and asked if he'd been willing to take a trip for a trial that was going on. What Dawson didn't expect was what was going to happen when He first see's Amelia Wesson. If you ever thought lusting after someone wasn't possible, it is And he did.

Dawson got a little close to Amelia then he wanted to at first. There was a few other things going on that made him wonder what was really going on. Carl is a very evil man. He treated his friends badly and turned his son into an evil person too.

Dawson had some secrets that he didn't want to share with anyone but, Amelia had this way about her that got him to open up to her. What he hid from himself she found a way to get it out of him. He would keep trying to push her away and she wouldn't let him. I think she was falling in love with him.

By the end of the book you find out all the truth about everything. Its very much worth reading.
