This is the first book of the Eve Duncan series. She had lost her daughter and uses her work to hide all her feelings by doing what she knows best. She's been given a skull to work on so she can find out who she is. The skull, may not be her daughter but, she's someone elses. Joe Quinn is a cop and a good friend of Eve's. She will do her best to help him when he asks her too.

When she finds out that there's a billionare wanting to talk to her. She pretty much says no. She has a job to finish. Then, when he shows up at her door. She gets quite angry. She asks him what he wants. He introduces himself as John Logan and he wants her to do what she does best.

Logan doesn't tell her the whole truth about everything and she knows he isn't. She's head strong and does what she can to keep him on his toes. What she finds out is going to make things very dangerous for them both.

The President of the United States has been killed or suppose he has. She's only talked to Joe a few times since all these things has happened. Being the Joe wants to protect her, he decides to come get her. That wasn't going to work out.

In Joe, all this is just crazy and he needs to do something.

I will say, Logan is one of those guys that doesn't care about anything but bringing down Lisa. Even though there's someone out there trying to kill them, he knows what he needs to do. He's smart and rich but, he may just end up getting Eve killed.

House by Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti

This is one oh my god book. A mix of horror and thriller. It makes want to know what's going to happen next. I will say this, I was surprised how this book started and went all the way through to the end. Plus, I've not read a book that brings evil and good together quite like this.

Jack and Stephanie are trying to get to Montgomery. They end p lost and run into a cop. The cop asks them where their headed and Jack tells them. The cop gives them directions and the leave to follow. Down the road some distance from where they had come their tires are blown out from under them.

Both, Jack and Stephanie are married but, have been having problems. That will just cause more problems with them in the long run. They begin to walk down the road, tell they say a house that says inn on a sign. Thinking that they can use the phone they head for the door. Once inside they meet two other people, Leslie and Randy. They tell Jack and her that the same thing has happened to them and they came upon this house. But, they haven't found a phone.

After looking around some, they get surprised by finding out that there are three other people in the house. Betty, Stewart and Pete. To all four of them, these three seem a little odd. Boy, is that an under statement. Betty is creating dinner or it seems like that. When they sit down to the table, they realize that the food is crawling. After that, all hell breaks out.

A few minutes later a can is thrown through the window and inside it, there's a note. It reads, ' Give me one body.' To the four of them its really weird. Randy asks Betty what's going on and she says, ' all sinners must die.' They all take off running. But, just before that. Betty worns them not to go into the basement.

There is so much going on in this book. I can't give you to much. But, I need to worn you. This book will make you wonder if something like this could really happen and what the hell would you do in their place. Some of the decisions made will shock you and make you think, what the hell are they thinking. Read the book if you dare.

Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to read a good book. You never know when the book might just change your life or who you are.

Innocence by Dean Koontz

When Addison Goodheart was born the woman that was there wanted to kill him. He looked different then other babies. His mom stopped that but, she had  a hard time dealing with him. By the time he was eight years old she finally told him he needed to get out. He at first didn't understand but, finally ended up staying in the woods around the cabin his mom lived in.

When his mom killed herself, he had no choice but to leave and find some other place to live and go. He walked and walked tell he came to a church that was having a picnic outside. He hadn't eaten in awhile and decided to steal some food. When the pastor saw him and what he looked like, He became angry and wanted to hurt Addison. Addison ran fast to get out of there.

Addison caught a ride on a flat bed truck and made it into the city. He'd only been in the city for a few hours when he met the guy he would call father for the next 10 years or so. Father taught him how to live away from others so he would be safe.

One night they were walking around with their faces covered. When a cop car with two cops in it, stopped them. Father did what he knew he needed to do to protect Addison. He uncovered his face and soon as the cops saw his face the cop pulled his gun and shot him. Addison had climbed under the nearest car.

After fathers death, Addison had been alone for awhile. He made his way to the library. He always went there late in the evenings to read. But that night he saw a young girl running away from some guy that probably worked there. She faked him out and had made him think she took off down the street but, she had come back and hid out.

Gwyneth was about 18 and wore make-up like goths do. She wanted to hide what she really looked like. Addison didn't know what to think. He couldn't let her look at him and she told him she didn't like to be touched. She also told him that the guy that was chasing her, his name is Telford. She just said he's a creap and will be getting his soon enough.

Telford wanted to kill her but, before that he wanted to rape her. Addison really didn't know what to think but, he knew the guy was evil.

Well, you'll have to read the book to find out what happens. I'll just say this, its an ending that you won't believe but, its also different.

Their mother Selma was beyond herself when she called Brianna Hayward. Brianna tried to get her to calm down so she could explain what happened. It took Selma a few minutes then, she told her everything. Brianna told Selma that she needed to go to the cops and tell them. Selma didn't think she could. Brianna was a twin too, and knew how it felt to lose one. She had started a group for those that had lose a twin could come and talk about it. That's how she met Selma.

Detective Rick Bentz is a cop in New Orleans. He'd been sitting in his office when Brianna came calling on him. She started out her story about her cousin she hardly knew and that he wasn't the 21 killer. Bentz didn't know what to believe. Then, when she told him about Chloe and Zoe being missing, He started to have a few questions pop up into his own head. He was going to make some calls.

Zoe had wiggled her way out of her biddings and was waiting for a chance to attack the nut case. Just as he got close enough to her, she let go on him. She did as much damage as she could so she could try and get away and she did.

Jase Bridges is a reporter and he's also holding a big secret that could cause some problems with Brianna is she was to find out. He knew that she had gone to see detective Bentz. He needed to find out what she knew about the twins. He also didn't want her to know the truth about his past. This was going to be tricky for him.

You'll have to pick up the book to find out what happens to the twins, if they survive a mad man. Find out if Jase tells the truth about his past to Brianna. I'll just add this though, the ending is really good.

Deadline by Sandra Brown

This book was very good. It was about lies that you tell yourself and sometimes even get away with. Its about murder and getting revenge. This author is one of my favorites to read.

Dawson Scott is a reporter for a magazine. He spent time over seas in the war zone. He came back home with some scares of his own. Gary Headly is an FBI agent and had been after Carl Wingert for the last 40 years. He told Dawson about all that and asked if he'd been willing to take a trip for a trial that was going on. What Dawson didn't expect was what was going to happen when He first see's Amelia Wesson. If you ever thought lusting after someone wasn't possible, it is And he did.

Dawson got a little close to Amelia then he wanted to at first. There was a few other things going on that made him wonder what was really going on. Carl is a very evil man. He treated his friends badly and turned his son into an evil person too.

Dawson had some secrets that he didn't want to share with anyone but, Amelia had this way about her that got him to open up to her. What he hid from himself she found a way to get it out of him. He would keep trying to push her away and she wouldn't let him. I think she was falling in love with him.

By the end of the book you find out all the truth about everything. Its very much worth reading.

Haunted on bourbon street #1 by Deanna Chase

Jade Calhoun moved to New Orleane's to be near her best friend Kay. She found an apartment right next to a strip club and the owners Kane and Pyper were renting the place she was moving into. Kane was a very handsome looking man and it was hard for Jade to concentrate when he was around.
What Jade didn't know was that he could dream walk into her dreams tell one night he was there. The dream was very erotic and when she woke up in the morning she knew the easiest way to deal with how she was feeling was to take a cold shower. Jade also could see ghosts and one night she met the ghost that was also in her dreams. But he seemed to get jealous when she was around Kane. Kane would show up at certain times just to get under Jade's skin. She could never quite concentrate when he was around.
Pyper was very nice but she was having problems with her own ghost that was making her life feel like hell. Jade knew she needed to try to help her get rid of that ghost. She let Pyper stay at her apartment to help her friend out. A few days later Kane had asked Jade out and she said most differently yes. She knew what she wanted and during that date and later that evening she and Kane made love. By morning she was feeling very good tell he told her he was dream walking into her dream. She wasn't happy about it.
Jade and her friends tried to help Pyper out to get rid of the ghost but it back fired with pyper ending up in a coma. By the end of the book and certain thing happening which you'll have to read to find out for yourself. I'll just say it was a pretty good book and the first book in a series.
Well, off to start another book. This was also the first time I've read an ebook, which is what this was. So, I'm trying something new for me and I think I might enjoy reading like this after all. At first I wasn't sure. Remember to read a good book you never know where you'll find one.

The forbidden game by L.J. Smith

This a a 3 in 1 book. The hunter, The chase and the kill. Jenny was out doing some walking around when she remembered that she needed to pick up something for her boyfriend Tom's birthday. She also knew that she was being followed by two people. She wasn't quite scared but, she knew she needed to find some where to go and hide for awhile. There was a lot of stores closed where she was. But something seemed strange when she came across this store. At first there wasn't a doorknob but now there was. Once inside she got this feeling that she was being watched.

Then, this guy seemed to appear in front of her. He said his name was Julian. Looking at him, he was more beautiful then anyone she had seen before. He asked if he could help her and she said that she was looking for a game to play with her friends. His eyes lit up and he showed her a game and said she could have it. What she didn't know was that this game was going to be more then just a game. It was going to be a game of life and death.

Tom, Audrey, Dee, Micheal, Summer and Zach all come over to Jenny's house to play a game. They put together the paper house and followed all the directions on the box and the something happened. They were in the paper house, like it was real. Julian showed up and said that they could only win if they made it to the top of the house. Each of them has to deal with a nightmare and make it through it. But Summer didn't. What Jenny didn't know was that Julian wanted her to himself and would do anything to get her. To save her friends she made a deal with him but, she tricked him and they all made it back home safe except for Summer.

Jenny kept making the mistake of offering things to Julian she wasn't going to ever give him. In the long run they all ended up in the shadow world where Julian is from, trying to save Tom and Zach and trying to survive because Julian wanted them all dead. Jenny knew he loved her and she needed to try and find away to make him not bad any more.

For a long book of three it was worth while reading. To much to add about what happens to all of them. So you'll just have to pick up the book and read it. Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to read a good book, it might change you or open you up to something different.

Darker still by Leanna Rene Hieber

Another new author I haven't read before and to my surprise this book was very much to my liking. Very fast paced. It will diffenently hold you to it from the first page to the last.

Natalie Stewart was brought up in an Asylum and now she's heading home to live with her father. The only thing is, she is mute, she hasn't spoken in since she was very young and after her mothers death.

Mrs. Evelyn Northe is a very rich lady and has abtained a painting of a very handsome young man named Lord Denbury.Natalie is introduced to her and her neice Maggie. They are planning on having her dad help Mrs. Northe buy the painting and put it in the museum. But when Maggie takes Natalie to go see the painting it has like put a spell on her. He is so handsome beyond words but, something else she notices is that the person in the painting has noticed her too.

After Mrs. Northe has brought the painting to her house, Natalie is able to stand closer to it and see that she wasn't imagining what she had. The guy in the painting had moved his hand and in a few minutes of her touching the painting she ends up inside it. To her, Lord Benbury is even more handsome then what she saw from where she stood. They began to talk and she found out that he was cursed and put in the painting. Natalie wants to some how help him out. So she talks to Mrs. Northe who also says she will help if she can.

Once the painting is moved to the museum, Natalie is given keys so she can make as many trips to see him. After spending time with Lord Denbury he tells her to start calling him Jonathon. To both of their surprise they fall in love and Natalie knows that she needs to take that curse off of him. So, with planning and Mrs. Northe's help they will try and trap the devil that has done this.

The book is quite and diffenently worth reading. You'll have to pick it up to read what happens in the end. Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to pick up a good book and read it, like maybe this one.

Fragile by Lisa Unger

Another new author to add to my list of books read. This book was quite good. Murder, mystery, kidnapping, rape, all the things a good story should be.
Jones Cooper, cop, father and husband, lives in the hollow's where people are really close. Small town life has never been more different to some then the big city was to him. But Jones was keeping something secret.A girl died and he was there. But there was also two others. The whole thing has made jones have problems in his own life.
Rick is Jones son and has been in love with Charlene a girl that Jones never thought was good enough for his son. Then, one day she ran away from home and everything from there on went to hell. Maggie is Rick's mother and a therpist and has been trying to understand her son as will. Too many things about her son she hasn't really been able to figure out.
Maggie has been seeing Marshall and trying to help him. But that day while he was there, something had changed. Because of Marshall's father Travis, things with him was very strange. He left her office and from then on things with him went down hill. Her wanting to help other out just made her sad.
With Charlene missing and Rick upset. Jones was always busy with police business. She began to worry more and more about Marshall. What she doesn't know is that Marshall is the reason why Charlene is missing. She had gotten ahold of him to ask him to help her. What she didn't know was that things for her were going to become really bad.
The farther into the story you find out many things that happen and why Jones is having problems. The truth of everything comes out. Maggie is a big part of the reason that it does. You'll just have to read the book. You'd enjoy it. Its worth it.
Well, I'm off to start my next book. Pick up a good book and enjoy it. This one I'd say is a good book.

Run for your life by James Patterson

When I picked up this book at first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I've tried other books of his and couldn't get into them. This one was a little slow at first. The chapters were short though so the book did move fairly fast.
Detective Michael bennett was a good cop. But, the shooting of the young kid he was trying to save made his life as a cop hard. It wasn't his fault that the kid was dead. He just thought he needed a break. His family was big, with his wife's death from cancer he had a lot to deal with. What he didn't know was that his life was going to become more complacated. There was someone going around killing people.
The teacher wasn't crazy. He just knew he had things to deal with and killing those people that needed to get killed was his main thing now. His brother had killed himself and in the teachers apartment. Finding him may have had brought on the whole thing or maybe the list and note might have had something to do with it.
Mike's kids were all home sick with the flu. With help from his nanny Mary he felt like everything was going to be fine. He knew that he needed to find the guy that called himself the teacher.
After some time had passed Mike had a plan to trap the teacher. What he didn't know was that the teacher had his own plans.
By the end of the book You'll know what happens. I was pleasantly shocked to have enjoyed the book. I was exspecting to not like it and I thought it would read the same way as his other books I've tried but, nope. It was actually really good. Pick it up, its a good read, fast paced. Well, I'm off to start my next book now. Tell we meet again. Read a good book.

Dead as a doornail by Charlaine Harris

This is the fifth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series and to me the best one yet. When it comes to good books that keep you reading tell you can't put them down then, this one fits the bill.
Sam Merlotte was shot and he wasn't he only one. The shiftshaper in Hotshot was also shot and one other person was killed that Sookie knew of. Now she needed a big favor and the only person to go to for that favor was Erik. If only what had happened between her and him didn't happen but, there's isn't much she can to do change it. He wants to know what really happened between them but Sookie isn't willing to tell him yet. He may not believe her.
Charles Twining was the new bartender at Fangtasia. Erik said that he could spare him. So, he gathered  his stuff and came back with Sookie to Bon Temp.
Calvin is the head of the shifters. But, right now he's laying in a bed recovering from getting shot. Plus, He likes Sookie a lot. Sookie had decided to try and find out what really is going on and why all the shootings.
Then one night her house is on fire. Someone was trying to kill her. Things in the supernatural world are coming for Sookie and she knows that deep down she wishes she never got involed in the first place.
Alcide is a were and has been attracted to Sookie for awhile now. His pack are going to choose a new leader. He wants her to come and witness it.
With all this going on, you'll just have to read the book to find out what happens. Sookie being pulled in to many directions for her own good. Not knowing who to choose, if she was to choose.
Well, I'm off to start my next book. I strongly recommend this book to those that like a good story, vampires and the supernatural. Remember a good book isn't to far away. Read one.

Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

This is the first book in the women of the otherworld series, by an author that I like very much.
Elana Micheals is a human that's living with her boyfriend Philip. But, there is another part of her that he doesn't know. She's a werewolf. She was bitten by someone she thought she loved a long time back, Clay. What she didn't know at the time was that Clay had a reason to do what he did. He wanted a mate. Someone that he knew loved him but, he lied to Elana.
Clay, Nick, Peter, Jeremy, Logan and Antonio were all part of a pack of werewolves. They lived in Stonehaven a house outside of Bear Valley. For Elana it was a place she didn't really want to go back too. But when the pack alfa called you were surposed to come calling. Jeremy was the pack leader and Elana had no choice back to go back.
Clay and Elana didn't get along to will and would fight a lot. Clay loved Elana and in some way, she knew she needed to make the right decision. She had let her emotions and the change a few times bring her to make love to Clay. In some ways it was something else she needed to deal with.
The reason that everyone was surposed to come back was that they had mutt's in town causing trouble. It ended up with two of their pack members dead. Now, they needed to find a way to deal with the mutt's that were there and killing them off wasn't just going to do it. Other things were happening to and the human police were getting involved which was going to make the things the pack had to deal with harder.
By the end of the book things would end with death.
This is a page turner, worth reading if you haven't yet. If you like the author this book will grab you and hold you tell you get to the end of it. Read it, if I was to give it a rating it would be a 5. Its that good.
Well, I'm off to start my next book. Like I said before you never know what book I'll add to my blog here. Enjoy a good book, if not just any one, choose this one. Promise you'll enjoy the fast moving, page turning book.

Heartsick by Chelsea Cain

Archie Sheridan is a cop in the Portland Oregon police force. He had been working on the serial killings that had been going on for ten years now. He knew he was getting close tell the day he decided to pay a little visit to Gretchen Lowell's house. She didn't seem the type to be a serial killer but, he was surprised to find out that that was what she was.
She kidnapped him, torcherd him tell he begged her to kill him. All the things she had put him through was so painful. The drugs she gave him kept stoned for most of the time. She would express that she loved him that she was in control of everything and that sooner or later she would kill him. It was her way of controling him and after she did the one thing he didn't exspect and that was to call 911.
It took him a long time to recover and he now had know choice but to take drugs to ease the pain. Then, one day his friend Henry came by to ask him if he'd like to come back to work and help the solve the murders that were happening. At first he wasn't sure it would be a good idea and Henry did tell him that he'd be watching him the whole time.
Susan Ward was a reporter for one of the newspaper and was asked to write a story about Archie Sheridan. Because of what he had been through she was told to write about him and the things that had gone on with him and Gretchen Lowell.
The murders going on in town was going to be Archie and Susan working together and she was going to turn the stories she was writing into the best writing she's ever done. The cops had her come with them while they did their talking to every person they could. Too, much was going on around town that the cops had no choice but to solve this quickly.
Archie though was making trips to the prison to see Gretchen. He would never come straight out and tell anyone what was really going on with him. Because of all that she had put him through he and Gretchen had a strange relationship. She knew how to get to him she also knew how to still control certain things in his life still. Over all, he needed to pull away from her and some how something was going to have to happen to do that.
By the end of the book you find out who the murderer is. You also find out a little more about Gretchen's and Archie's relationship. This is just the first book in this series and will worth the read.
Well, I'm off the start my next book now. Remember a good book is hard to put down and even harder to forget after you finish it. Enjoy a good book, you may surprise yourself in how picking up a book could had some flair to some free time.
