This is the third book in the thriller series of Archie Sheridan and serial killer Gretchen Lowell. This book is a very fast paste book. Differently a quick read.
She's still on the run and Archie is sitting in a phyco ward. She and Archie had made a deal that she wouldn't do any more killing and then a body shows up. Archie really can't do much. He's not really a cop right now and his partner Henry Sobol comes to visit him and fills him in on what's going on. They have been watching things concerning Gretchen for awhile. Archie wants her caught again.
Archie has had problems with his feelings concerning Gretchen and the two times she tried to kill him. He almost didn't survive the last one. He started taking pain killer for quite some time and now he's having to deal with it and his feelings. The doctor he speaks to, keeps asking him if he's ready to leave the hospital. He keeps saying no.
When one of the girls is killed where he's at. He finally makes the decision to leave. He does hook up with a female reporter named Sarah. She had been wanting to talk to him about things concerning the serial killer and he just keeps putting her off. Tell the day he leaves the hospital and they do some things on there own. Yes, it could cause them to get into a few dangerous spots.
Archie makes the decision to try and find the kid Jeremy because his sister was murdered. But, things don't quite go the way Archie thinks.
Well, I'm really just going to leave it there. Yes, the book is really good and I need to pick up the next one. I want to know what's going to happen. Try the series, yes, it's pretty old but she writes so good. You might just like it.
