This is the ninth book in the house of night series. Zoe and her friends are going back to the school. They aren't sure what will really happen after they get there. But they know that Neferet was put back in charge. Stark, who is Zoe's warrior and lover, has been having bad dreams. He really hasn't been his self since what happened in the otherworld.

Rephaim was a raven mocker tell Nyx accepted him as changed for the things that had happened. Him and Stevie Ray have been together ever since. The whole group are still living at the depot. But they still needed to go to school. They wished they didn't have to.

Aurox is something other then human. He listens to Neferet. He does what she tells him to do. Besides he turns into a bull that would kill anything that gets in his way. Zoe has been wearing this red jeweled neckles around her neck and when they arrive at the school, it begins to burn her skin when she is close to Aurox. She doesn't understand it but, she's going to figure it out.

Neferet had gotten Aurox to go talk to Dallas that was the head of the evil red fledgling. They were to come to the school and stay. They were going to have to abide to some of the rules but, they were also needing to feed. Neferet didn't care about that, she just hoped that they would cause trouble.

Kolona is still around but, he wants his son back.He finally flies to the depot to speak with him. Even thought he says he's not with Neferet any more. The group is going to have a hard time with it.

Thanatos comes to the school. She's from the high counsel. She's there to find out the truth of what really is going on with Neferet. Thanatos has an affinity with death and has offered Zoe and her friends to find out the truth about what happened to Zoe's mom. But Neferet doesn't want the truth to come out and makes a deal with darkness to have it stopped. Aurox was trying to change but, because of Neferet's sacrifice he has no control over what ends up happening.

I'm not going to give up the ending. You'll have to pick up the book and read it.

Awakened by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast

This is the 8th book in the house of night series. Every time I read one of these books I can't seem to not but it down. Zoey Redbird soul isn't shattered any more and she and Start are still on the ilse of Skye. The vampyre queen there has told her that she can stay there as long as she wants. In many ways she really wants to. Her losing Heath has been hard but now she knows she's in love with Stark.

But then Jack is killed by Neferet. Stevie Ray calls and tells Zoey that she has to come back to Telsa where she belongs. Its a sad thing and she knows she's needed there. Being that Neferet is evil she makes the decision to go back.

Stark is having problems with strange dreams and it may be coming from Kalona who is back. The Raven Mocker Rephaim has come back to Kalona but he's not the same as he was because, he's in love with Stevie Rae. But in the form he's in he can't feel the way he should.

With all that has been going on in this book. You'll have to read what happens to Zoey and her friends. What Neferet's plans are for the school and the world. Life for Zoey and Stark has just started and will it last. Stevie Rae and Rehpaim have had some changes happen, will things work for them in the long run.

I'll just say this, read the book and find out what happens. I still think their good reads. Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to enjoy a good book.

This is the second book in the house of night series and it just gets much better. Zoey Redbird has made friends that are willing to help her out when theres trouble. In the process she ends up in a head to head confertation with the High Preistess of the house of night. Zoey knows that's theres something wrong with her and she isn't quite sure.
   When two boys from one of the high schools disappear and turn up dead the cops come knocking on Zoey's door to ask questions about what she knows. She can't answer any questions because she has no answers yet.
    She has so much on her mind and the first full moon ritual is just around the corner for the Dark Daughters and sons. She has to lead it. Taking a trip up to the media center she ends up being interupted by Loren Blake. He's a vamp that's quite handsome beyond anything she's seen in a man before. But, something inside her tells her that theres more going on between her and him then she thinks when they end up meeting another time under her tree.
    When it comes to her ex-boyfriend Heath. She runs into him when she takes a trip away from the school. Because of the bloodlust she seems to be having. Something ends up happening to her and heath. Imprinting becomes the one thing that ends up saving his life in the long run.
    The sad thing though is the death of her best friend Stevie Rae. But, is it for real.
    Only reading this book can tell you all the answers and much more. So, tell next time, read for yourself a good book. You never know it might just grab you and make you want to read more and more.
