Radiance by Alyson Noel

Riley Bloom had died with the rest of her family except for her sister Ever. She has moved on to the here and now. The afterlife. She had spent some time in the earth plain. She decided to cross the bridge to see what was on the other side. First she hadn't wanted to but, she did.
She woke up one morning and was told by her parents that she was to go to school. She didn't know that there was school in this place. So, she did what she always did and imagine something she really wanted to wear. She was told to stay away from the veiwing rooms but, inside of her she really couldn't help to do that. She was shown things about herself she didn't remember. When she was done, she made her way to what was called the school.
She met a few others. Bodhi was one of them. Something about him bothered her. She thought that he was to much of a geek. Wearing glasses and clothes that made him look exactly like a geek.
Meeting the council and watching things with them all about her. After they were done Riley was told that she was going to help others that were dead to cross over. Bodhi was to be her guide.
For Riley she wasn't sure what was exspected of her and the task ahead. She was to help the radiant boy cross over the bridge but, she didn't know if she could do it. So, Bodhi made her a deal, by saying that he would teach her how to fly. It was good enough to make her do it. She didn't know how long it would take.
Meeting the radiant boy had become a scary thing. Things started to happen and she became scared, really scared.
Well, I'm not going to blow the ending of the book. You'll have to read it to find out how it ends for yourself. Now, I'm off to start another book. Remember to read and read more.

Thanks for posting at Blog Frog ~ I am avid reader also ~ must admit, though, I have not heard of these authors ~ I just finished Jean Auel's most recent book ~ The Land of the Painted Caves ~ It was excellent ~ Have you ever read The Clan of the Cave Bear ~ (that was her first book) ? Well, they are all about prehistory times ~ rather unique and informative ~ ^_^
