This is the second book in the Vampire Academy series. Rose Hathaway is still training to become a guardian. Lissa is her bestfriend and all the training will help Rose better protect Lissa. Dimitri is Rose's trainer and she is in love with him. In Dimitri's eyes she is to young but there is something between them and Rose knows it.
   With Christmas holiday's coming and the Moroi families are getting together. Something ends up happening to change things. Strigoi have killed to families so far and the school has decided to send them up in the mountians to a resort. Rose and Mason have planned on completing on the slopes. The things that happen between him and her gets her to see things differently.
  Christian and Lissa who have become boyfriend and girlfriend ends up having sex. Adrian is Lissa's cousin and starts sending Rose gifts and paying some attention to her. But, Rose doesn't know what his true attentions are.
   Mason decides to go hunt the Strigoi down and takes Mia and Eddie with him. It leaves Rose and Christian to go after them. But, they end up getting caught by humans and taken to a house where two Strigoi live. It's up to Rose to try and figure out a way to get them out.
   Well, I'm not giving up the ending to this book. You'll have to read it. It's good and worth it. Now, I'm off to start my next book.
