If Zoey thought that her life was going to be easy. She finds out that things just aren't always what they seem. Loran Blake the very sexy poet and vampyre at the school is differently after her and wants more then just Zoey's body. Yes, they end up having sex. He also ends up imprinting with her and things just turn out worse then they were before. Erik her surposely boyfriend finds them. But, what he doesn't know is that it's a total set up. It was brought about by Loran and Neferet.
Neferet was wanting to know what Zoey was up to and using Loran to find out and play with Zoey was the perfect way of doing so.
Stevie Ray, Zoey's best freind still is an undead dead vampyre of the not so good kind. Zoey wants to try and help her out some way but, isn't sure how to go about it.
In the long run, with all the secrets that Zoey is keeping she ends up losing trust from her friends. They don't really know what is really going on with Neferet and that is somethin that Zoey isn't sure she wants to point out t them quite yet.
There are many things that goes on in the book and to me is one awesome read. The more I get into this series the more I want to know what's going to happen to Zoey next.
I'd say if you haven't started this series yet. Pick up the first book and read tell you hit this one. If you don't get into them I'd be surprised.
