Dead until dark by Charlaine Harris

Sookie Stackhouse lives in a small town called Bon Temps in Louisiana. She works in a bar as a waitress called Merlotte's. Sam Merlotte is the owner and has a crush on Sookie.
One day as she's at work, in walks a vampire. In Bon Temps there has never been a vampire in thier town before and Sookie is cerious. His name is Bill Compton and to Sookie he's nothing like anything she's seen before.
She ends up saving his life and then he does the same to her. Sookie is full of ceriousity about him and as time goes on they end up becoming lovers. Bill falls in love with Sookie and she falls in love with him.
But, there has been murders happening and Sookie knows somewhere deep down inside that she's going to be one of the ones murdered. She also has an ability to hear what people think but, she can't hear Bill and that makes her happy.
Bill wants to protect Sookie and in doing so she ends up meet other vampires that she has a hard time with dealing with.
Over all, this book is a great read and the first in a series of books. It has also been turned into a series on HBO. Its worth anyone time to read. I promise you'll love the book. Then, You'll probably want to read the others just to see what will happen to Sookie and Bill. Pick the book up. Read it. I think you'll like it.
Well, now I'm off to start my next book. Remember to keep reading and always pick up a good book.
