City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

This is the third book in the mortal instruments series. This was a page turner.

Clary was needing to go to Alicante with Jace, Isabelle, Alec and everyone else that was going. Magnus was making the portal for everyone to go through. But, Jace didn't want Clary to go. Even though that she needed the potion to bring her mom back. She's been at the hospital for quite awhile. Jace thought it wasn't worth her coming with and he asked Simon to come to the institute to talk. Jace wanted Simon to tell Clary that she was to stay and Simon knew that wasn't going to go over will.

The next thing, Demons started to show up.  Simon wasn't prepared for what was going to happen and getting perry badly hurt. Jace has no choice but, to bring Simon through the portal to save his life.

Luke was helping clary pack and get ready to go. At first he wasn't sure he wanted her to go. She had found out that they had already left and had been attacked by demons. Now, she needed to create her own way there. She knew she could create her own runes. So, she did and in the process, Luke ended up going with. The landed in a lake, when they go to the other side. She almost drowned, tell Luke saved her. But, now she was poisoned. He said that he knew someone that could save her but, she was going to see things and hear things tell they do.

Amatis is Lukes sister and very good with herbs. When they showed up at her house, first she almost didn't let them in. Then, she did. Luke took Clary up to bed while his sister made what she needed to bring up to Clary to drink.

Simon is a vampire and he can walk in the sunshine. The head of the vampires doesn't think it's a great idea him being able to do that. Alec, told Simon that the clave had a portal to send him back to New York. But, when they got up there, he ended up being imprisoned by them. He was getting a little weak from not eating and didn't know what was going to happen to him.

In the cell next to him, was a guy that started talking to him. Told him, that he's been there awhile. He also knows that they will not let him go unless he tells the clave a lie ot two. Which Simon will never do.

Clary meets Sebastian and right off the bat, there was something not quite right about him.

Well, I'm going to leave that there. If you haven't read the book yet. You will have to read it to find out how it ends. I'll just say this. I didn't expect what happens to happen. It was differently a page turner.

He makes his way upstairs and there's a strange guy with some weird walking creatures attacking Nicholas. Josh, wants to help him but, he sees what looks like green smoke and the smell, smells like rotten eggs.

Both, of the twins start to question what he's saying. They start thinking about magic shows, but not real magic, in which is what Nicholas is say is very much real.

He loses the Codex but, Josh ends up with two pages. He tells the twins that they need to come with him because he need to go see a friend. Scatty as she goes by. Lives above a Dojo. She's considered one of the best warriors that Nichloas knows and also a vampire. She's a second generation Elder. When her Dojo is attacked by Mr. Dee because he wants those last two pages. It's a whole journey and many, many more things happen. Full of adventure, fighting and trying to understand all the different Elders all over the world and how magic came into the world. Redeemed by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast

This is the final and 12th book in the house of night series. Zoey Redbird is in trouble. She turned herself in thinking that she killed two guys in the park. But, it wasn't true. It took a few days for Detective Marx to find out what really happened. Neferet is back and stronger then ever, after her snake like dark things killed as will as her all these people in a church so she can get stronger. She has completely lost her mind and decides to take control of the hotel she had been staying in.

With all the craziness, Zoey and her friends need to try a figure out how to kill or contain her. Thanatos is the high Priestess of the school and also death. She helps those that have passed on to go where their supposed to go. She also comes up with an idea to contain Neferet in the hotel. To create a spell that will burn all evil doing things. It will take a lot of power and Shaunee who has the fire element she can control.

When people start falling off the top of the hotel. Kalona is the winged immortal and he tries to save some of them, it ends up having those snake like evil things coming after him. With him being who he is, it will take him some time to heal. Thanatos, Shaunee, Zoey and all the rest of her circle all go to the special tree. Grandma Redbird is Indian and has to remind Zoey that the ground is ancient. Only old magic can stop really evil magic and a good chance it will contain Neferet.

This is one of the best books and a great ending to the series. Lots of things happening and does Zoey and her friends really take care of Neferet. I hope you pick up the book and read the series. It was worth it.

Crave by Tracy Wolff

This is the first book in the Crave series and oh my god it was really, really good. Fast paced and very dark in many ways.

Grace, comes to Alaska to live because she lost her parent in an accident. Being sad, doesn't quite fit with all the feelings she is having. Her cousin Macy shows up at the airport with a snow mobile and they ride it to the most interesting castle that's the school and her home for awhile, with her uncle Finn. The altitude is getting to her and it doesn't help that she's feeling sick to her stomach as will as having a headache that's killing her.

When Macy leaves her alone to go get her uncle. A very handsome guy steps really close to her and tells her to leave. Her thought are what kind of gull does he have. So, she begins to have an attitude with him. She isn't going to let him get away with telling her what to do. She explains that she has no other place to go and she not going any where. He just seems to get into her face. Which just makes it hard to her to breath even more.

What she doesn't know yet is that there are werewolves, vampires witches and dragons all in the school with her. She does learn who the guy is, he's Jaxon and he's a very sexy, stunning boy and a vampire. That just makes her a little nervous and fascinated all rolled up into one.

When, things start to happen to her and she starts to get hurt. Jaxon knows that he needs to protect her in any way he can. He's part of an order that looks out over him as will. The very first time Jaxon bites her, she melts into him. Its way more then she can handle tell he looses control and she gets really hurt.

Over the course of meeting Jaxon, she also meets Flint and Lia. Lia tries to be her friend as will as Flint but, Jaxon tells her not to trust him.

Jaxon tells Grace the some of the other want to kill her and he doesn't quite know why yet.

The story gets real interesting and you'll have to pick up the book to see what happens. Myself, I'm wanting to see what happens in the next book. But, I'll wait.

The last heir to Blackwood library by Hester Fox

This was a very good read for me. I did get a little frustrated with Ivy Radcliffe in some places in the book.

Ivy learns that she's in heir to this Abbey in Yorkshire. She's never had anything like this happen to her before. She signs the papers and heads off to her new home. She arrives there thinking that this could change her life. But, when she meets the help that have been the care takers of the house for a long time. She notices that Mrs. Hewitt doesn't seem to like her much. The driver, Ralph picks her ups at the train station.

The Abbey is very old and Ivy can tell by what she's noticing while she walking to her room. It's called the blue room and that because everything in the room is blue. She then meets Agnes who's quite young and seems very shy. After getting settled and changing her clothes. She gets Mrs. Hewitt to show her around. There are rooms in the Abbey that are locked Mrs. Hewitt tells her. Partly because they don't use them much. Ivy, doesn't understand why but, she lets it go.

Later on that evening Ivy decides she's going to look around some on her own after she eats her dinner. Going to a few of the doors down the hall and some of the doors are locked. She heads downstairs and checks out a few more areas of the Abbey. There were double doors to a big room on the other side of them. She does decide to wait tell morning and ask Mrs. Hewitt to open them.

In the morning after breakfast, Ivy decides to go into town and look around. She wants some new books. In a book store she meets Arthur. He seems very nice. After talking for a few minutes, she heads for home. Later on in the even after settling down in a chair to do some reading, something ends up flying off her dresser onto the floor. What the heck, Ivy says.

That's the first thing that ends up happening. Other things start to really scare her. Are there ghosts in this Abbey. Another thing that starts to happen is she is not remembering things. She keeps asking about things and when she wakes up the next morning she can't remember.

In the morning Ivy goes downstairs and asks Mrs. Hewitt to unlock the double doors. On the other side was a huge library and the perfect Ivy thought. She loved books. Mrs. Hewitt didn't look happy. Ivy began to look around and after awhile Mrs. Hewitt left. She Had been in there for a few hours and she started to get a read bad headache.

Every time she had spent time in that library, she would get headaches. Something was going on and because in the mornings she couldn't remember things. It made her seem like she was loosing her mind.

I'm not going to give away the ending. It was a fairly fast paste read. Pick it up if you want to try it. You may just like it.

Fated by Alyson Noel

This the first book in The Soul Seekers series. The book was really good. Something different then, what I'm used too.

Daire is a 16 year old girl with her mom, traveling around the world for her mothers job as a make-up artist. Jeenika is her mom. Things with them have been okay at time. Daire, keeps having problems with seeing things that don't make since to her. She sees, ravens and shadow like people and it freaks her out. She doesn't know if she's going crazy or what.

She and Vance this boy she sees while he's working on this movie where there are, is getting something to eat, when things start to happen. After a time, she faints or something like fainting. When she wakes up, she's tide down and her mom is sitting close by. She doesn't know where she is but, she doesn't like what's going on. She asks her mom what is going on and her mom tells the other lady in the room to get the doctor. Tell then, her mom just tells her that she's just going to have to relax. Like, that's going to happen.

Once she hears from the doctor and hears what he has to say, she's not happy. She doesn't want to go to no mental hospital or take medicine that will mess with her. So, after leaving, her mom drives them to where they are staying after taking the trip home on an airplane.

The phone in the house rings and its her grandmother Paloma calling. Some how she found out what is going on and talks her mom into letting her come and stay with her in Enchantment, New Mexico. She tells her mom that she can help Daire. She's going to have her friend Chay meet us and drive me the rest of the way.

Jennika, her mom isn't so sure of about this whole thing but, for now its the only thing she can do.

At first, Daire doesn't want to be there and ends up running away. She also ends up getting hit by a car, where she is bruised and has a broken leg. So, the idea of leaving didn't go quite will. She does have a few talks with Paloma who explains who her dad was and why he died before she was born. Something that her mom didn't explain to her very will.

She also finds out that she's a soul seeker and a very strong one. Paloma is going to teach her as much as she can, but Daire notices that she keeps having nose bleeds and becomes worried that something is wrong.

She also meets Dace and Cade, they are teens. She doesn't like Cade and she finds out the Dace is nicer and good. Something evil is going on and Cade is a good reason, along with his father. Things end up happening and its not good. But, I'm not going to share what happens, because I want you to read this book. I'll tell you this, the ending will grab you and you'll want to continue to read tell the book ends. Its also wanting me to pick up the next one in the series but, I'm going to wait a little while then, I'll get it.

Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to pick up a book, you never know if you like it, tell you read it.

Note: I'm going to tell you guys something. I only read the book. I can't listen to audiobooks so my honest opinion of the book is from reading it. There is nothing wrong with listening to a book. I just love the feel of the book in my hands and its easier for me to enjoy and understand the stories I read. So, sometimes it will take me a little longer to read some book.

Thank you for reading my blog. You can leave me a comment about the book or anything else if you want.

City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

This is book two of the mortal instruments series. I will say that this was a great read for me.

Clary is back with her friend Simon. Jace, Alex and Isabelle are at the church they use as a shadowhunters head quarters in New York city. Clary has been staying with Luke after her mom has been in a coma of a sorts.

Maryse is in the library when Jace walks in on her. She begins to question him about what has been going on. Each time he answers she doesn't believe him. They aren't going to see things the same way and Jace always has this attitude about pretty much everything. Then, when Valentine is brought up he becomes a little diffensive. She pretty much asks him to leave.

The Inquisitor is coming and she has  a problem with Jace. She wants to question him concerning his father which is Valentine. I'll just say this, it doesn't go will over will with him and she decides to lock him up. But, before that happens, Jace has gone to see his father. Because of what he knows.

His father has killed all the soul brother for the sword they have. He wants to bring a very large amount of demons to take out the clave. The clave is what creates the laws for all the shadowhunters. That isn't going will for Jace because he will never join his father in any way.

The Inquisitor ends up using special swords to lock up Jace. As will as a magic pair of handcuffs. Her idea is to trade him for the two special things that Valentine has. Jace tries to tell the Inquisitor that Valentine will never do that. Because of her hatefullness towards Valentine she isn't listening to him.

Things are only going to get worse and it does.

You'll have to read the book to see what happens and how it ends. I'm not going to spoil it for you. I'll just say this, I really wait to pick up the next one. Remember to pick of a good book, you never know what you might enjoy.

I'm off to start my next book.

Bloodleaf by Crystal Smith

This the first novel in a new young adult series. I'll give this a great rating in my book. I enjoyed this book a lot.

Aurelia is a princess In a city that's run by people that have set laws to kill witches and she is one. She, hasn't learned exactly how to harnish  it but, she knows that she can see the dead. She is going to be sent away to marry a prince from another kingdom. It had been set up since she was a baby. Her mother hopes that it will save her.

Kellan is her protector and when Simon comes from Achleva. Her mother makes a deal with him to do magic that will keep her from dying. So, they prepare to do it and it will take three. Simon, her mother and Kellan all make a pact to do die in her place.

Toris and his daughter Lisette are waiting on her, her brother and Kellan to show up at the meeting place they arranged. The horses were ready and so were they. What Aurelia didn't know was that things were about to take a really bad turn for her. Toris, decided he was going to kill her and Kellan. It didn't quite work out the way he thought. He did stab Kellan and he ended up in the water, She had finally got away on Kellan's horse, but she had a problem. After getting to the other city where the prince was, she couldn't get into the city because its protected by a spell. She didn't have the papers to get in any more.

Realizing she didn't have any money she needed to figure out what to do. She ended up getting into trouble, her horse was taken by a guy named Zan. She didn't know what else to do. She wondered around outside the gates until Zan offered to make her a deal and help her inside. She wasn't happy. She did finally take him up on it.

She was bull headed and didn't want to do anything for him. After having some sleep and a meal, she needed to find a job. That didn't turn out as will. She got attacked by three men and ended up using Blood magic to cause them harm. Zan, saw what happened and his friend that was with him carried her to his home where his wife Katie helped nurse her back to health.

Zan told her a story about someone trying to destroy the magic on the wall. He wants her to help him find a way to keep it from happening by using her magic. He shows her secret ways to not be scene, by using tunnels under the castle. She gets books to study with his help. There is also something going on between them, but she can't let that happen not yet. So she ignores it.

Bad things do happen, can she tell him who she really is. Because he only knows her as someone else. She also doesn't know that he really is the prince.

The story is fast pasted. Makes you wonder what's going to happen next. I love a page turner just as much as anyone else. Try the book.

Well, I'm off to start another book. Remember to pick up a good book, it may become a new favorite.

Night Star by Alyson Noel

This is the 5th book in the immortal series. Ever is having problems with her friend Haven being she had decided to give her the elixir that will make her immortal like her and Damen. Damen has made decisions concerning her when he did the same thing to her. But in this case she's having a hard time coping with the idea that her so called friend hates her some much. She knows that Haven is bent out to hurt her and even kill her. She's been preparing herself for this. She knows she will do what she needs to, to protect herself and those she cares about.

What she doesn't realize is that it will only get worse if she can't reason with Haven. Her friend Miles tries to tell her that things have changed around the school but, tell she ends up at the school to find out for herself she's not sure what to think. Jade on the other hand is another problem altogether. She needs to find out for herself who she really loves. It will not be easy to choose if that's what she needs to do.

She and haven do talk but it doesn't do her any good. Then, one day at Jade's store Haven shows up to do just what she says she's going to do but, before she can actually die Damen saves her soul. The whole thing changes her and she has her answer about who she is really supposed to be with. It doesn't so any good tell they can fix the thing about them being able to touch each other the way they really want.

By the end of the book you will find out what happens to Haven but you need to read it to find out. The book is pretty good and I still need to read the last one.

Well, I'm off to start another one. Remember to read a good book, never how much you might just enjoy it.

Sweep vol. 2 by Cate tiernan

This is a 3 in 1 book, dark magical, awakening and spellbound. Morgan is in love with Cal but he's hiding the truth from Morgan. One day Morgan is on her way to Practical Magic to see if she can get a few things. She finds out from David that they may have to close the store. For awhile Morgan thought she had killed Hunter who is a seeker. He was trying to kill or bind Cal and Morgan threw a knife at him and went over the cliff.

Alyce is one of the store owners of Practical magic and someone that Morgan can trust. When Morgan went by the store again she hadn't been feeling good and Alyce offered her a cup of tea. When she walked back into the back room and sitting there was Hunter. He wasn't good but, for some reason she didn't trust him. He didn't look good either. They were talking about magic and stuff and Morgan did something that shocked everyone. She touched Hunter in a way the was magical and both her and his minds touched. She was able to see things about him that made her think that he wasn't that bad of a person.

When Cal finds out he's not to happy. Things about Cal really start to change and he tries to kill Morgan. Bree and Robbie save her life and Hunter shows up to find the both Cal and his mom Selene are gone. Morgan tries to understand what happened and to find out if she really still loves him. She can't love him any more because he lied to her and tried to kill her. Hunter then tries to help her out and watch over her. In doing so, Hunter starts to realize that he's starting to have feelings towards Morgan and as they start to work on magic together it just makes him feel more protective of her.

As things happen and continue to happen to Morgan and an offer was brought up to help Morgan protect herself more from the evil out there. Alyce said that she would think about it and after a few days she agrees. It will help Morgan learn faster about magic and it will give Alyce a little more understanding of Morgan too. By the end of the book Cal and his mother show back up. She's wanting to kill Morgan to take her magic and tools from her. Cal tries to tell Morgan that he still loves her and didn't expect that he would feel like that ever.

You'll have to read this book to find out what happens in the end. I'll just say that its worth the read. Well, I'm off to start another book. So pick up a good book you never know how good it is tell you do.

The forbidden game by L.J. Smith

This a a 3 in 1 book. The hunter, The chase and the kill. Jenny was out doing some walking around when she remembered that she needed to pick up something for her boyfriend Tom's birthday. She also knew that she was being followed by two people. She wasn't quite scared but, she knew she needed to find some where to go and hide for awhile. There was a lot of stores closed where she was. But something seemed strange when she came across this store. At first there wasn't a doorknob but now there was. Once inside she got this feeling that she was being watched.

Then, this guy seemed to appear in front of her. He said his name was Julian. Looking at him, he was more beautiful then anyone she had seen before. He asked if he could help her and she said that she was looking for a game to play with her friends. His eyes lit up and he showed her a game and said she could have it. What she didn't know was that this game was going to be more then just a game. It was going to be a game of life and death.

Tom, Audrey, Dee, Micheal, Summer and Zach all come over to Jenny's house to play a game. They put together the paper house and followed all the directions on the box and the something happened. They were in the paper house, like it was real. Julian showed up and said that they could only win if they made it to the top of the house. Each of them has to deal with a nightmare and make it through it. But Summer didn't. What Jenny didn't know was that Julian wanted her to himself and would do anything to get her. To save her friends she made a deal with him but, she tricked him and they all made it back home safe except for Summer.

Jenny kept making the mistake of offering things to Julian she wasn't going to ever give him. In the long run they all ended up in the shadow world where Julian is from, trying to save Tom and Zach and trying to survive because Julian wanted them all dead. Jenny knew he loved her and she needed to try and find away to make him not bad any more.

For a long book of three it was worth while reading. To much to add about what happens to all of them. So you'll just have to pick up the book and read it. Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to read a good book, it might change you or open you up to something different.

Darker still by Leanna Rene Hieber

Another new author I haven't read before and to my surprise this book was very much to my liking. Very fast paced. It will diffenently hold you to it from the first page to the last.

Natalie Stewart was brought up in an Asylum and now she's heading home to live with her father. The only thing is, she is mute, she hasn't spoken in since she was very young and after her mothers death.

Mrs. Evelyn Northe is a very rich lady and has abtained a painting of a very handsome young man named Lord Denbury.Natalie is introduced to her and her neice Maggie. They are planning on having her dad help Mrs. Northe buy the painting and put it in the museum. But when Maggie takes Natalie to go see the painting it has like put a spell on her. He is so handsome beyond words but, something else she notices is that the person in the painting has noticed her too.

After Mrs. Northe has brought the painting to her house, Natalie is able to stand closer to it and see that she wasn't imagining what she had. The guy in the painting had moved his hand and in a few minutes of her touching the painting she ends up inside it. To her, Lord Benbury is even more handsome then what she saw from where she stood. They began to talk and she found out that he was cursed and put in the painting. Natalie wants to some how help him out. So she talks to Mrs. Northe who also says she will help if she can.

Once the painting is moved to the museum, Natalie is given keys so she can make as many trips to see him. After spending time with Lord Denbury he tells her to start calling him Jonathon. To both of their surprise they fall in love and Natalie knows that she needs to take that curse off of him. So, with planning and Mrs. Northe's help they will try and trap the devil that has done this.

The book is quite and diffenently worth reading. You'll have to pick it up to read what happens in the end. Well, I'm off to start my next book. Remember to pick up a good book and read it, like maybe this one.

Marked by P. C. Cast & Kristin Cast

This is the first book in the house of night series. To me this series is just a little bet better the the Twilight series in my opinion.

Zoey Redbird get marked by a tracker is has to move into the house of night. Because her parents want to be a certain way towards she ends up sneaking out and heading for her grandma's house. The High preistess of the house of night Zoey meets her name is Neferet. To Zoey Neferet is very pretty for being a vampyre.

She meets her roommate Stevie Rae. Too, Zoey the place is different and things for her are just starting. Over all, the goddess Nyx marked Zoey special and things end up happening to her as you read more and more into the book.

Stevie Ray interduces Zoey to her friends that share a table together. Erin, Damien and Shaunee. Erin and Shaunee are called the twins. Damien is gay and very smart. Zoey meets one other girl that has a really bad attitude. Her name is Aphrodite. Blond and good looking. She is the head of the dark daughters and sons. She gets invited to one of the rituals and things start to happen to her.

She can feel the wind, fire, earth, water and spirit as thier cast into the circle. She also meets Erik Night, a very nice and handsome guy. He ends up wanting to date her.

Read the book, I think you'll like it. Its a great read in my book. If your into vampyres and liked the Twilight series then you'll like this book.

On a different note, If you have been reading my blog you may have guessed that I like good books as will as vampires books. Most of the books I've been reading are books written for teenagers. But, sometimes I do read other things. Don't give up on reading my blog it can only get better as I continue to read.

Right now, I'm playing catch up on the books I've already read and I am still reading as I go. Soon, I will be caught up and then the blog will be added to as I finish each book I read.

Enjoy your reading and I hope you try these books I write about on here. Tell we meet again, happy reading.

Wicked by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie

This is the fifth book in the series wicked. Its not as good as the other four. But, it gives you the best ending they can for the series. Its a little slow read. The series about mostly about witches and the lives they had tried to live but things ended up getting in the way.

Two sisters and thier cousin end up fighting evil and also end up being captives of evil warlocks. People from other covens end up trying thier best to help them. In the process of winning or thinking that they have won, they meet and fall in love with the son of one of the evil guys that tries to wipe them off the planet. It doesn't work out and the son ends up becoming a monster inside and out.

Holly, one of those good witches is the one that falls in love with Jer, one of the bad ones. He doesn't like what he's feeling and tries to fight it. With his looks, he's afraid that she'll never love him because of what he looks like and leaves for awhile.

Holly has to try and save the world from the new evil that is coming and ends up becoming something even she didn't know would change the rest of her life. She argues over the problem and says that she owesher family and friends. At the end she does have a great happy ending.

When it comes to some books that i read if it isn't good usely I wouldn't write about it. But I've decided that if I've read the book all the way through then its worth writing about anyways. I'm not saying don't read it. But, you should read the first four books first. Its imprtant, I have always felt, that people who read like me, try different authors.
